LCD Monitor Connectors - FI-X Series
JAE's FI-X Series of LCD monitor connectors are low profile
connectors designed for differential signaling. They incorporate FPC
relays for stable grounding to the printed circuit board (PCB). The
FI-X system is a very low profile, 1mm installed-height LCD monitor
connector, available with 14, 20 or 30 signal contacts. They are
compatible with 1.4mm FPC (flexible printed circuit) and thin-gauge
AWG 30-40 coaxial cables. Features of JAE's FI-X Series of LCD monitor connectors:
- Board-to-cable for high-density packaging.
- Low-profile SMT type receptacle 1.0 mm high on board.
(sunk-into-the-board, board face mounting).
- Precision impedance matching. (100+-10 ohms). For differential
transmission.
- Excellent EMI shielding (with metallic shell).
- Polarization for the prevention of erroneous mating.
- Friction lock type. (20, 30 pos.) and mechanical lock type with
lock-lever on cable side plug.
- Mating guide prevents misalignment when connecting. Easy to
connect even when it is difficult to check visually.
- Pin headers come with hold-down for preventing float up when
soldering and offering additional retention on board. The hold-down
is incorporated with shell, enabling connection to the ground on
board.
- Receptacle with a ground plate on both ends of wire terminal of
contact, enabling connection to the ground on board. Design ensures
correct grounding.
- Crimp type cable plug for discrete wire, ZIF connector type for
FPC, and fine-wire coaxial type. We can supply various cable

- ZIF connector configuration for FPC. No force is directly applied
when inserting FPC. Easy to operate. The shell is connected to the
ground on one side of FPC when inserting it.
- Receptacles can be supplied in embossed tape.
