Clean-up Campaign of the Industrial park / National Route / Iwakigawa riverbed

As part of the clean-up campaign for the region, we proactively take part in cleaning the surrounding area of the Kitawatoku industrial park where we are located, the Japan National Route 7 that many of our employees use for commute, as well as the Iwakigawa riverbed.

Eco-Friendly Driving Promotional Campaign

We have adopted the use of company cars with Start-stop systems (to stop idling) and training seminars with outside tutors to promote eco-friendly driving.

Opening of Sports Facilities

We have opened sporting facilities for the residents to use.

Participation to the Hirosaki Neputa (lantern floats) Festival

We participate in the Hirosaki Neputa Festival that is held in August every year.
The Neputa figures carried and spun by our new recruits, as well as the Neputa featuring figures that have been painstakingly made by our employees are both very popular.

Wheelchair donation activities

As wheelchairs can be exchanged for the vending machines installed at cafeterias and resting rooms, as well as from the aluminum and steel cans and plastic bottle recyclables from the employees homes, we have taken part in the recycling activities of these items since August of 2008 as part of our contributions to the regional community.

Recycling food leftovers

The food leftovers from our cafeterias are handled by the regional recycler. The leftover rice will used as feed at pig farms, whereas the other dishes will be turned into fertilizer. Such fertilizers are purchased by the local contract farmers to be used to make vegetables and then return back to our company’s food served at our cafeteria.

Blood donation contributions

We schedule blood donation days (2 times every year) for our employees to take part in donating their blood during their work breaks.
