MX55J Series High-Speed Connectors for In-vehicle Digital Cameras Has Been Developed

MX55J Series

JAE has developed the MX55J Series high-speed transmission connectors for in-vehicle digital camera systems.

Recently, installation of in-vehicle cameras has increased for automotive applications, and so JAE has developed applicable products. A greater number of incorporated camera units, is expected to be required to support new technologies such as ADAS and autonomous driving. These advances have resulted in an increase in the volume of information, and high-definition digitalization. Therefore, there are demands for space-saving high-speed transmission compatible connectors, to help connect the increasing number of installed units.

To cater to these trending requirements, we have developed the MX55J Series compact high-speed transmission in-vehicle digital camera connector.

The MX55J Series is compatible with 1.5Gbps class video signal (LVDS) differential transmission (depending on configuration and usage) and the rear case camera connector has been minimized from our conventional product size 24mm x 27mm, to the standard in-vehicle camera size 23mm x 23mm, to meet the needs of our customers. This product also achieves the higher performance that is required for an automotive connector such as EMI suppression (GND connection structure), and high waterproof rating when mated and as an individual product. Moreover, by changing the key of the harness side connector mis-insertion can be prevented. In addition to a standard straight plug, there is a right angle plug that can be customized to any one of 4 different cable exit directions to make cable routing easier.
