JAE Taiwan Acquires a New Plant in Changhua County

To strengthen production system of connectors for industrial and infrastructure

　JAE Taiwan, Ltd., (“JAE Taiwan”), a sales and production subsidiary of Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Ltd. (“JAE”), acquired a new factory in the Lugang Town of Changhua County, and will begin to launch full-fledged operations in the second half of FY 2019. Together with the existing production facilities in Taichung, the new plant will strengthen our production system of connectors for industrial and infrastructure market to expand our global businesses.

　Since its establishment in 1984, JAE Taiwan has expanded its business as a development, production, and sales base for connectors and will celebrate its 35th anniversary this July. Located in Taiwan, an ICT industrial agglomerate, JAE Taiwan put focuses on ICT market. At the same time, JAE Taiwan is positioned in the JAE Group as a core supplier of connectors for industrial and infrastructure markets. Since the connectors for industrial and infrastructure market is expected to grow in mid-term to cater intelligent, labor-saving and automated factories, we have acquired a new plant and are planning to strengthen our production system.

　The newly-acquired plant is located in an industrial park in Changhua County, adjacent to Taichung City where the head office and factory of JAE Taiwan is sited. The total floor area of the plant is 8,600 square meters. By strengthening in-house production capabilities, including plating and cutting processes, we aim to increase production capacity and reduce costs through collaboration with the Taichung Plant.
　Acquisition of the new plant has been completed, and we plan to commence full-scale operations in the second half of this fiscal year after the ancillary facilities works and installation of production facilities is completed.
