The JAE Group is expanding its regionally-based exchange programs and charitable activities at domestic and overseas group companies as a good corporate citizen under the JAE Group Charter of Corporate Behavior.
*The activities described on this page were carried out in FY2024.
Environmental Protection
“JAE Group Forest” Conservation Activities (JAE)
In June 2004, to restore and preserve forests, we participated in the divisional forestation activities of the Tokyo Development Foundation for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (TDFAFF) and established the “JAE Group Forest” as a symbol of our environmental activities. Through forest conservation activities such as afforestation and clearing undergrowth, it serves as a place for raising environmental awareness among JAE Group employees and contributes to preserving biodiversity, absorbing greenhouse gases (CO2), and revitalizing water resources.
In FY2024, under the guidance of the Tokyo Metropolitan Forest Owners’ Cooperative, representative employees engaged in forest conservation activities, including log cutting.

Participation in Tree-Planting Event Along Cherry Tree-Lined Road at Foot of Mt. Iwaki (JAE Hirosaki)
JAE Hirosaki participated in the tree-planting event to protect the 20-kilometer-long cherry tree-lined road at the foot of Mt. Iwaki, to fulfill the JAE Group Environmental Policy of “respecting the natural environment and biological diversity” while fostering communication with the local community.

Water Quality and Biological Survey of the Izumita River (JAE Yamagata)
JAE Yamagata conducted river composition tests, transparency measurements, and biological surveys on the Izumita River, part of the Mogami River system flowing through Shinjo City. This activity is organized by the “Beautiful Yamagata/Mogami River Forum,” and JAE Yamagata participates in the waterfront environmental surveys on an annual basis.

Participation in Beautification Activities in Tenryu River Basin (JAE Shinshu)
JAE Shinshu participated in beautification activities in the Tenryu River basin, spanning approximately 80 kilometers from the central part of Nagano Prefecture to the vicinity of the downstream border of Shizuoka Prefecture. This initiative was sponsored by the Nagano Industrial and Commercial Encouragement Organization under the slogan “Let's restore the ‘swimmable Tenryu River’ and build a ‘circular society’ together.” We have continuously participated in these activities. Through this initiative, which also takes the form of a picnic, we experience firsthand the current state of the Tenryu River and the significance and importance of waste separation. In FY2024, 38 participants from JAE Shinshu collaborated with two other companies to undertake riverbank beautification initiatives in the Matsukawa area.

Coastal and River Cleanup Activities (JAE Philippines)
In coordination with the Provincial Government of Cavite, JAE Philippines has conducted cleanup activities at multiple coasts and rivers. We have also worked to preserve the ecosystems of marine life, including turtles.

Health and Welfare
Hospital Environmental Maintenance Volunteer (JAE Europe)
JAE Europe conducted cleanup activities, which included weeding, pruning, and general tidying up of the garden located within a nearby hospital. The garden serves as a space to promote the mental health or sensory perspective for patients, and as a place for the NHS (National Health Service) medical staff to refresh themselves.

Visit and Donation to Children's Home (JAE Wuxi)
A part of our support efforts, employees of JAE Wuxi visited a children's home, presented gifts, and played games together in addition to making a financial contribution.

Visit and Donation to the Environmental Sanitation Office (JAE Wujiang)
JAE Wujiang visited sanitation workers who keep the city beautiful and clean through their daily cleaning efforts. We conveyed our gratitude for their daily efforts and offered support through a donation of daily necessities and nutritional supplements.

Participation in “Project Angel Tree” (JAE Philippines)
JAE Philippines participated in “Project Angel Tree,” a program organized by the DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) to prevent and eliminate child labor. In support of this initiative, we donated brown rice to former child laborers. We also provide support on World Day Against Child Labor, such as donating daily necessities and food products to a DOLE office.

Activities for the Local Community and Fostering Next Generation
Participation in the Neputa Festival in Hirosaki (JAE Hirosaki)
JAE Hirosaki participated in the Neputa Festival in Hirosaki, a nationally designated important intangible cultural asset, and recorded the 29th appearance in 27 times in a row. A total of 435 employees participated in this activity.

Factory Tours and Field-Type Work Experience Workshops (JAE Yamagata and others)
The JAE Group hosted and conducted factory tours, field-type work experience workshops, and internships for elementary, junior high, high school, and university students. JAE Yamagata also visited junior high schools in Shinjo City to provide students with work experience. The students were given the opportunity to interact with JAE's products and to appreciate the appeal of manufacturing. For example, they observed a connector as small as a grain of rice with a magnifying glass.

Participation in Festa Gion in Kamikatagiri (JAE Shinshu)
JAE Shinshu participates in organizing the local festival “Festa Gion in Kamikatagiri.” In FY2024, 19 members from JAE Shinshu were again in charge of operating the yakisoba food stall.
