Industry's Smallest-in-class High-current Compatible Board-to-board Connector WP10 series

JAE has developed and begun mass-production of the WP10 series high-current capable stacking type board-to-board connector with 4 signal terminals in addition to the existing 2 signal terminal type which was already in mass-production.



For compact hand-held devices such as smartphones, wearable devices and tablet PCs, the needs for larger battery capacity and faster charging are becoming prominent, and high current compatible internal connectors are required to connect the battery and the power supply circuit. In addition, in order to closely control and monitor the battery, there are growing needs for low current signal terminals in the same connector.


Due to these requirements, JAE has begun to supply the 4 position option, in addition to the existing 2 position type, in the WP10 Series line up. All WP10 series products have high-current compatible power supply terminals that allow power distribution of 10A, which is the largest rated current for compact hand-held devices.


Also, as an internal connector for hand-held devices, the WP10 series realizes slimming and minimization while maintaining high reliability. There is a 2-point contact structure with proven results for high-reliability against drop impact and vibration, as well as a special hold down structure that prevents damage during mating and increases extraction force with the integrated lock structure. Furthermore, it also improves workability during final assembly by providing a click feeling when mated.
