Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Ltd.

Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Ltd. (JAE; Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) announced today that it has signed a definitive business transfer agreement with Alberta Ltd. (Head Office: Calgary, Alberta, Canada), under which JAE will acquire the global Oil & Gas, Energy, and Industrial sensor and electronics business operated under the well-established Tooltronix brand.
For over 20 years, Alberta Ltd. has built a strong reputation under the Tooltronix brand for its advanced development capabilities and deep expertise in oil and gas, geothermal, and mining applications.
JAE has long supplied high-precision accelerometers, directional modules, and related sensors to the oil, gas, and geothermal sectors, leveraging sensor technologies originally developed for the aerospace industry—where extreme reliability, precision, and durability are non-negotiable. To address growing customer demand for enhanced drilling efficiency and superior downhole performance, JAE has been actively expanding its energy-focused product portfolio.
This strategic acquisition builds on an existing collaborative development relationship between the two companies.
The transaction is expected to close by December 15, further expanding JAE’s presence in the global energy and industrial markets with its new subsidiary “Tooltronix Ltd.”
