Strengthening Local Operations to Expand the Connector Business for Motorcycles and Automobiles

Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Ltd. (JAE; Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan, President: Masayuki Muraki) announces that it has established a local sales company to expand connector sales in Indonesia.

1. Background and Purpose of Establishing the Local Sales Company

Indonesia is one of the world’s largest motorcycle markets, after India and China, and further market expansion is expected, driven by continued population and economic growth. Alongside Thailand, Indonesia is also becoming increasingly important as a major production and export hub for motorcycles and automobiles in the ASEAN region.

JAE provides a wide range of connectors and harnesses, primarily to Japanese automotive manufacturers with a significant market share in Indonesia, as well as Tier 1 suppliers. We have established this local subsidiary to expand sales in Indonesia by developing new customers and strengthening our customer support capabilities. Through the new subsidiary, we will respond promptly and effectively to customer needs and provide more personalized technical and sales support. By meeting the growing demand for local production and procurement, we will further expand our business in Indonesia.

In its Medium-Term Management Plan announced in April 2026, JAE designated “India and ASEAN” as one of the priority regions for its global business expansion strategy. We are strengthening our business operations to serve these growing markets, with a particular focus on connectors for motorcycles and automobiles. Going forward, we will continue to explore and implement plans to develop production and sales bases in the region.
