5G mmWave Antenna Module Connector
In the smartphone development division, we have been designing high-end models that support 5G (5G Mobile Communications Systems).
We had decided to install AiP (Antenna in Package : Module with Integrated 5G mmWave Band Antenna) in order to respond to the mmWave band communications that will become prevalent in the future.
However, I was unable to find the optimum connector for connecting this AiP to the main board.
Summary of Challenges
- To ensure shielding performance and high-frequency signal integrity quality suitable for AiP connectivity
- Compact size suitable for mounting in a small device
- Good workability and reliability during the connector mounting and assembly process
