Notice of Establishment of Joint Venture Company to Expand Sales of Motorcycle/Automobile Connectors in India

Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Ltd. (JAE; Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan, President: Masayuki Muraki) and Nagase & Co., Ltd. (Nagase; Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan, Representative Director, President and CEO: Hiroyuki Ueshima) have signed an agreement to establish a joint venture to expand sales in the motorcycle and automobile markets in India.

Background and Purpose of Establishing the Joint Venture Company

The JAE Group is striving to enhance its corporate value by focusing on technology development and manufacturing that accelerate the realization of customer innovation, and by promoting global business development in its three core businesses: Connectors, User Interface Solutions, and Aerospace.
The NAGASE Group operates in 25 countries and regions, leveraging its functions in trading, manufacturing, and research and development, as well as its unique network and technological capabilities.

India, which has achieved remarkable economic growth in recent years, is not only the world's largest motorcycle market, but is also the world's third largest automobile (four-wheeled vehicle) market in terms of sales volume and fourth largest in terms of production*, and is expected to grow further in the future.

JAE is a global provider of automotive connectors and harnesses for information and communication systems, safety systems, and EVs for Japanese, European, American, Chinese, and other automobile manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers. We have been considering strengthening our system to enhance sales and customer support in India and to respond to local production requirements.
Under these circumstances, we have decided to establish this joint venture company in the belief that expanding sales through a partnership with Nagase, which has a broad business development and history in India, will lead to an increase in corporate value for both companies.
Through this joint venture company, we will expand sales of connectors for motorcycles/automobiles in the Indian market, build a production system in collaboration with local partners, and strengthen the supply chain.
