Eco-friendly Products
Product-Related Efforts
Eco-friendly efforts starting from the design stage are underway in order to reduce environmental impacts at each stage from product manufacturing and use to disposal. In product design, materials with low toxicity are being used and products are being made more energy efficient. And in mold design, other eco-friendly efforts are being pursued, including improving the utilization rate of mold materials and increasing the life of the molds themselves. The eco-friendly efforts for each product are introduced below.

CONNECTORS
●Board-to-board connector (WP9 series)
- Conserving resources through product design
Designing products smaller than their predecessors, dramatically cutting back on the amount of materials used, and preventing the overuse of solder when mounting components all contribute to resource conservation. - Customer energy savings through product specifications
Making parts that fit together with a clear clicking sound prevents partial fits, and improving fit maintenance prevents them from coming lose due to defects. This helps avoid increases in man-hours. - Customer energy savings by product delivery format
Product delivery using embossed taping enables automation that contributes to improved productivity. - Eco-friend specifications (RoHS-directive-compliant products)
Lead-free solder is used for soldered contacts and no substances banned by the RoHS directive are used.

In addition to complying with existing standards, the usage of substances that have an environmental impact is being reduced ahead of the trends being set by various regulations. - Energy savings
Energy savings of 90% over previous products were achieved by improving power circuit efficiency, reducing internal operating voltage, and using LED backlights.

- Conserving resources through compact designs
