Expansion of MX34 Series Compact Automotive Connectors
With Addition of Through-Hole Reflow Compatible Angle Pin Header

JAE has commenced sales of the through-hole reflow compatible MX34T variant for its compact, high-density, non-waterproof connectors for automotive applications.

Overview
We have been expanding the variations of our MX34 Series, which are widely adopted in ECUs, BMS, switches, and other automotive applications. To further meet the diverse needs of the market, we have added through-hole reflow compatible variants to our angled pin header lineup under the name MX34T.
Through-hole reflow (also known as Pin In Paste) is a mounting method where the connector's through-hole components are inserted into the PCB's through-hole openings and reflow soldered. Since it can be mounted simultaneously with other SMT components, it ensures mechanical strength while offering excellent mass-production efficiency.
This enables optimal product selection based on the PCB mounting method used in unit equipment, contributing to increased design flexibility and improved mounting process efficiency.
Features (MX34 Series Overall)
- Non-waterproof connector for automotive applications adopting the 0.64mm tab size per ISO/JASO/EWCAP/VDA standards
- Satisfies connector specifications required by automotive manufacturers.
- Pin-side connection variations include cable type (In-line) and board mount header. The board mount header is available in straight and right-angle options, each available in flow DIP, through-hole reflow, and SMT soldering connectors.
- Cable connectors feature a preset retainer which detects incomplete insertion of the terminals, ensuring proper harness assembly
- Mechanical lock system ensures reliable mating
