Environmental Report 2015

Environmental Accounting Data

The JAE Group adopted environmental accounting in fiscal 2002. Quantitatively comparing the cost of environmental activities with their effects helps the group ensure efficiency.

FY 2014 Data

Fiscal 2014 costs declined from those of fiscal 2013 owing to lower maintenance costs and other factors. Investment amounts increased from fiscal 2013. Reasons for this included measures taken at companies around the Group to mitigate the risk of environmental pollution, including upgrades to retainer walls and reconfiguring pipes to run above ground, as well as investments related to an upgrade of power supply facilities at JAE Hirosaki.
