Environmental Report 2025

Eco-friendly Products

Product-related Efforts

Eco-friendly efforts starting from the design stage are underway in order to reduce environmental impact at each stage, from product manufacturing and use to disposal.
In product design, materials with low toxicity are being used, and products are being made more energy efficient. And in mold design, other eco-friendly efforts are being pursued, including improving the utilization rate of mold materials and increasing the life of the molds themselves.
The eco-friendly efforts for each product are introduced below.

Examples of Environmentally Friendly Products

Connectors
MW05 High-current, Two-pole Connector for Electric Vehicles

  1. Contributing to CO2 Reduction
This product is used in electric vehicles, and its widespread adoption contributes to reducing gasoline consumption and CO2 emissions.
  2. Environmentally Friendly Specifications
The components of this product comply with the RoHS Directive, reducing the use of environmentally hazardous substances throughout the entire product life cycle, from production to disposal. In addition, the protective caps removed and discarded during assembly are made from biomass material derived from scallop shells, thereby reducing environmental impact.

User Interface Solutions
Teaching Pendant

  1. 20% Reduction in Resin Use
By using a new, lightweight material for the casing and reducing its thickness, resin use was reduced by 20% compared with conventional products, which also decreased the amount of plastic waste generated at the time of disposal.
  2. 18% Weight Reduction
By changing the casing material to a new, lightweight material with reduced thickness, replacing the single switch with a dome contact, and redesigning each component to be lighter, the overall product weight was reduced by 18% compared with conventional products.
  3. 8% Reduction in Power Consumption
By selecting a lower-power CPU than the conventional model and optimizing software processing, we achieved smooth 3D robot display while reducing power consumption by 8%.
